Weekly Weigh In - 3.5lb lost

After staying the same last week I thought I was facing a huge gain this week. Kaycee turned 8 last Friday and the day before, Ella made her a huge chocolate fudge cake covered in chocolates and marshmallows.

We had a piece on Thursday night for dessert and again for dessert on Friday. I sent most of it away with the girls when they went to their sister's for the weekend but Ant's piece was still in the fridge.
I told him later that night that it was in the fridge and he said he didn't fancy it.

As soon as I knew he didn't want it, all I could think about was eating it. I tried to resist all night but around 10 to midnight I gave in and ate it.
I didn't really want it and I felt awful for losing control so to gain back the control I made myself chuck some of it in the bin.
I went to bed and decided not to dwell on it and to do my best for the next four days before weigh in.

I increased my super free in every meal, having 3/4 of my plate for super free and 1/4 for protein and swapping potatoes, rice and pasta for sliced, fried aubergine (aubergine is on the super free list). I had minimal syns to make up for the 3 pieces of cake I had as well as pizza I'd had on the Wednesday after weigh in and I spent all of Saturday and Sunday and half of Monday digging, shovelling stones and moving huge rocks to make a rockery birthday surprise for Ant's mum.

I think the increased super free coupled with all the exercise I got turned my gain into a loss.

I now have 3lb to lose to get my 7 stone award and 2 weeks to do before I reach my 1 year Slimming World anniversary :)

I've also just realised that I only need to lose 10lb before I can start using the Wii balance board with the Wii fit disc; I'm so excited! I'll be able to start doing a daily workout that I know I'll enjoy :)

  1. I've never thought of substituting the starchy bits with aubergine before! In fact, I've never really used aubergine at all.

    I know you'll love exercising, off the Wii board as well as on it x
